D.J. Moore, the Buffalo Bills' No. 1 receiver and key offseason acquisition, was ruled out of Thursday night's game against the Detroit Lions with a shoulder injury.

Moore was hurt after landing hard on his left shoulder in the end zone late in the second quarter in Orchard Park, New York.

He remained on the ground for a few minutes and then left immediately for the locker room. He was examined for two separate injuries, the shoulder and a stinger, and was initially listed as questionable to return before being downgraded to out just after halftime.

The Bills acquired Moore in an offseason trade with the Chicago Bears. He immediately proved his value to Buffalo and Josh Allen, collecting five receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown in their Week 1 victory over the Texans in Houston.

He didn't have a catch against the Lions before exiting.
