DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Fiedler
aggravated a knee injury that sidelined him for four games earlier
this season.
His status is uncertain for the Dolphins' game next Monday night
against Philadelphia.
Fiedler re-injured his left knee during the third quarter of
Sunday's 12-0 loss at New England. He finished the game, but was
limping afterward.
"In my estimation it's not as significant as when he first did
this," trainer Kevin O'Neill said. "But we'll have to wait and
see how he responds over the next few days."
Miami players had Monday off, but Fiedler came to the Dolphins'
complex to receive treatment.
He first hurt his knee Oct. 19, also against New England. The
Dolphins went 2-2 with Brian Griese starting before Fiedler came
off the bench in the third quarter to rally them past Washington on
Nov. 23.
Fiedler, wearing a brace since his return Sunday, wanted to
continue playing after he aggravated the injury.
"It might have affected his performance from the standpoint of
scrambling, but I don't think his throwing was affected," coach
Dave Wannstedt said.
Fiedler went 13-for-31 for 111 yards. He threw two
interceptions, lost a fumble and was sacked five times.
Defensive end Jason Taylor, bothered by chronic shoulder
soreness, underwent an MRI, but is expected to play against
Philadelphia, O'Neill said. He said defensive tackle Tim Bowens,
who missed Sunday's game with a strained calf, is improving and may
return soon.
Linebacker Morlon Greenwood left Sunday's game with a bruised
left thigh.
