The Baltimore Orioles designated right-hander Edwin Jackson for assignment on Sunday.
When the Orioles called him up last week they became the 12th major league team Jackson has pitched for in his career.
He appeared in three games in his brief stint in Baltimore, allowing 11 hits and 7 runs (4 earned) in five innings pitched.
In other moves, the Oriolees recalled right-handers Logan Verrett and Jimmy Yacobonis from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned right-hander Stefan Crichton to Norfolk.
