Karachi Kings scrapped their way to a fighting total of 188 and had the upper hand on the game but a rearguard effort from Irfan Khan and Hassan Khan hauled Hyderabad out of trouble and got their chase back on track. Depth in the batting proved instrumental in orchestrating this first win for Hyderabad! They are on the table now and must be overjoyed! The start was good, with Marnus Labuschagne and Maaz Sadaqat tonking the ball to all parts of the ground and Usman Khan continued to press harder on the accelerator but then three wickets fell in quick succession. Abbas Afridi and Adam Zampa bowled well but there was no bowler who really ripped through the line-up and that breathing space in middle-overs allowed Hyderabad to come back into the match. This will certainly give a shot in the arm for the new franchise and they will eye many more wins, backing themselves to give a tough time to their opponents
Hassan Khan, Player of the Match: When I went in, we were confident that if we played five overs, we'll chase it...when you play all around the world in different conditions, it helps (you adapt)
