Juventus and Boca Juniors complete transfer for Carlos Tevez

Juventus have paid tribute to Carlos Tevez as "undoubtedly one of the most charismatic and exhilarating forwards Juventus have ever had" on Monday as they made his move to Boca Juniors official.

At the same time, the Argentine club announced plans for a news conference to unveil Tevez later on Monday. Tevez is moving back to his boyhood club after two years in Turin with a fee of €6.5 million euros, to be paid by Boca in a one-off payment on December 15, 2016.

As part of the deal, Juventus will pay Boca €3.5 million for the loan of Guido Nahuel Vadala, with the option to make him a permanent Juventus player with a further installment of €9.4 million to be paid no later than April 20, 2017.

Furthermore, Juve have secured options on Rodrigo Bentancur Colman, Franco Sebastian Cristaldo and Adrian Andres Cubas for €1 million each, to be paid before December 31. These transfers combined effectively mean that Juve will pay Boca €6.5 million for four players on loan and earn the same amount for Tevez.

Should the Bianconeri exercise their right to sign Colman, they would have to pay an additional €9.4 million, €8.2 million for Cristaldo and €6.9 million for Cubas. Those three players will remain in Argentina, however, and only be available for purchase from 2017-18, as long as Juve pay the full sum for any of them by April 20.

In announcing the deal via their website, the Italian champions reflected on "two magnificent seasons in the black and white stripes."

"His first match for the Bianconeri was almost a prophecy of what was to come: a goal, a victory, an Italian Super Cup trophy held aloft to the heavens in 2013," continued the tribute. "The stats also tell us he scored from every other one of his 102 shots on goal over the course of these two unforgettable years. There's simply been no one quite like him in Serie A, where he's won 53 matches, more than any other player in that time.

"And the most amazing thing was that he kept getting better and better. Last season was the best of his career, as he scored 29 times to equal the record he set in his first year at Manchester City.

"The only Juventus player to reach double figures in the league last season, Carlos wowed us all with the class, charisma and strength of will he showed in every single match. He had an incredible record in last term's Champions League, scoring seven goals in 13 matches (he had only scored six goals in his last 33 European matches before then).

"So now Carlitos returns home, to wear the Boca Juniors shirt again. He'll be sending other football fans into raptures next season. Because it's the effort that Tevez puts into every match that's made him a firm favourite with fans in Argentina, Brazil, England and Italy.

"Muchas gracias, Carlitos. Good luck in your new adventure."

Tevez sent a message to Juventus fans in a tweet with the title 'Juventino!!!' just ahead of his official unveiling in Buenos Aires.

He wrote: "From the very first day I arrived in Turin, I felt I was at home and I rediscovered immediately my desire to play football. I have only words of appreciation. I've taken a decision to go back to my country to be able to be reunited with my family.

"It was not easy because I leave friends, teammates and a club who made me happy behind in Turin. Thanks for all the battles, won and lost, I have learnt a lot thanks to all of you. You will always have a place in my heart. L'Apache!!!!"

Juve have signed Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Simone Zaza as replacements for Tevez next season with the latter undergoing his medical, along with Sami Khedira, on Monday.
