Dante: Bayern Munich exit is inconceivable

Dante says he has no plans to leave Bayern Munich despite his continued questions over his future.

Dante has admitted he has had a difficult time since last summer's World Cup, when he was part of the Brazil team thrashed 7-1 by Germany, and he has struggled for form throughout the season.

The centre-back, who has not been called up to the Brazil squad since last summer's tournament, was among the substitutes for Bayern's 6-1 victory over Porto on Tuesday after a string of high-profile errors in recent weeks.

However, Pep Guardiola said earlier this month that he would like "1,000 Dantes" in his team, and the player told kicker: "I am a lucky guy to play at Bayern.

"It is what it is: We're going to play a Champions League semifinal again, we can win the cup, and we have a super chance of winning a third consecutive championship. Why should I think about leaving the club? That would be totally inconceivable.

"I am part of this group 100 percent, have two more years left on my contract, and also want to stay."

Dante has been linked with a return to Borussia Monchengladbach but their coach, Lucien Favre, said last month that a deal was "definitely impossible."

Meanwhile, Germany captain Bastian Schweinsteiger's future at Bayern is under scrutiny as he approaches the final 12 months of his contract.

Kicker reported on Thursday that the 30-year-old could seek a move to Major League Soccer when the deal expires, but Sport1 has claimed he is set to open talks over an extension that would tie him to the Bundesliga champions until 2018.
