Why Milan should bring Kaka back

Should they, or shouldn't they? There has been much discussion since Milan vice president Adriano Galliani announced the club were looking to bring Kaka home. With the player making his feelings clear by stating he is "ready to do anything to return to Milan", is it a good move for the Rossoneri?

Personally, I think it is. Despite the risk of tarnishing his legendary status at the club, returning for a disappointing second spell a la Andriy Shevchenko, the 30-year-old Brazilian can offer both quality and influence. Having touched upon the issue in my previous post, not only would he help the likes of Stephan El Shaarawy and new signing Riccardo Saponara on the pitch, he can do plenty off it in teaching them the 'Milan way'.

The only issue concerning a potential deal, which would initially be a loan move according to reports, would be the financial aspects. It would make little sense for the club to offer big wages considering the cuts made in the summer, but it would appear Kaka is ready to sacrifice his current salary in order to push through a move.

However, while Milan want to buy and Real Madrid to sell, there is clearly a big margin between their respective figures, and Galliani will have his work cut out in constructing a suitable package, or an 'imaginative solution', as he put it.

If the numbers make sense, then for me the move makes sense. Galliani, amongst others, has always spoken fondly of the Real Madrid ace, maintaining that "our love for Kaka has never ended, it was only interrupted".

After spending six glorious years at Milan, Kaka joined Madrid in 2009 in a move close to 70 million euros. At the time of his departure, fans were dismayed despite the heady figures, and clearly sorry to see the club icon leave.

Yet despite his issues in Spain, amongst them injuries, the Brazilian still has plenty to offer. With the likes of El Shaarawy, Mbaye Niang and others doing the running, having a creative genius such as Kaka pulling the strings will provide that much needed quality in the final third.

Yes, Milan need to strengthen the defence and possibly bring in a midfielder. The youth movement is refreshing and much supported as a way of building for the future. However, you can’t discount the influence Kaka would have on the squad, and Milan still desperately need a creative presence as shown in numerous games this season.

Having sold Antonio Cassano, the Rossoneri lost their most creative spark. El Shaarawy may have covered the cracks with his sensational start to the season, but he can’t continue to break down defences forever. Kaka could be the ideal foil for the 20-year-old considering fellow Brazilian Robinho falls short, and pairing the youngster with his idol could have the makings for an exciting double act.

You can flood a side full of youngsters and hope they will grow into something special, but you also need a few wise heads with the tactical nous to hold it together. Evidently he isn't the player he once was, but I believe Kaka still has it.

Galliani revealed that this is the sole negotiation taking place at this point of the month, so should Milan bring Kaka back? If not, why?
