Mario moving to Milan

Mario Balotelli is set to complete a move to AC Milan, with the deal set to be complete tomorrow morning, subject to a medical. David Beckham is back in the Premier League, kind of. The former England skipper is training with a certain team in red, though perhaps not what one would expect. Harry Redknapp, meanwhile, is looking at a trusty partnership to stave off relegation.

Mario Ballotelli's likely move back to his native Italy is continuing to pick up pace with the Daily Mirror reporting AC Milan is prepared to increase its initial £17 million offer for the volatile striker. Of course we have heard rumblings of Super Mario's departure from Manchester City since, well, since he arrived in England, but with AC Milan expected to add former Portsmouth attacker Kevin Prince Boateng as a sweetener, City manager Roberto Mancini may well be tempted to finally cut ties with a player who has created more headlines than goals this season.

However, reaction to the rumours from the reigning Premier League champions would not surprise many fans with City officials saying, surprise surprise, Ballotelli isn’t going anywhere. Through thick and thin, right Roberto?

Could it be? Could David Beckham make a glorious return to the Premier League in a famous red jersey?
Well according to The Sun, Beckham has indeed been spotted blazing down the touchline in the claret colours of one of England's top teams. But alas for Manchester United fans the former England international was actually caught training with the Arsenal squad in a bid to prove he could still handle the rigours of top flight football.

Beckham has been out of work since quitting the Los Angeles Galaxy this season, and with no confirmed destination yet to be revealed, rumours are starting to fly he could settle in north London where his three sons all play in Chelsea's youth system. However, with Paris St-Germain and former club AC Milan still sniffing around, do'’t expect Beckham to make up his mind straight away.

It seems Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has found the formula for success in the Premier League – just sign Peter Crouch. Redknapp has worked with the 6ft 7in Stoke City striker no less than four times in his managerial career, and with his current club rooted to the bottom of the Premier League, The Sun is reporting Redknapp has targeted Crouch as the man to lead Rangers to survival. But will it be fifth time's a charm Harry?

Finally, rumour has it Manchester City is targeting Roma’s £5 million defender Marquinhos in a bid to strengthen its back-line. With captain Vincent Kompany injured in the recent FA Cup match and Kolo Toure away on international duty, the Daily Mail is reporting Roberto Mancini has targeted the Brazillian U-17 international as a ready-made replacement. But with Real Madrid also circling, Mancini may have his hands full in trying to temp the 18-year-old to Eastlands.
