Gloucester have signed French prop Patrice Collazo on a three-year contract that will see the front row man return to the Kingsholm club in the summer.
The 30 year-old loose-head has been part of the successful Toulouse side over the last two years, playing a key role in their current championship campaign. The 6ft 2" prop joined Gloucester for his first spell in the summer of 2001, after five years with Begles Bordeaux, and spent just over a season with the Premiership side, before moving back to France in September 2002.
During his time at Kingsholm he made 23 Premiership appearances, and three more in the Zurich Championship play-offs, including a final win over Bristol at Twickenham, shortly after Nigel Melville first arrived at the Club.
Commenting on the club's website director of rugby Nigel Melville said: "Patrice is a top quality prop and loose-head is one of the positions we had identified as a target for next season. He knows people here and we're well aware of his strengths, and I know he'll add that something special to our front row for next season."
Collazo, who has one French cap from 2000, joins England World Cup winner Mike Tindall as Gloucester continue their recruitment plans for the new campaign.
The two new signings join a host of current players who have already signed up for the Club's future, including Welsh Grand Slam hooker Mefin Davies, Alex Brown, England open-side Andy Hazell, Peter Buxton, Adam Eustace, Terry Sigley and international Phil Vickery, as well as young England U19s centre Anthony Allen.
