Clive Woodward's England rugby squad can take pride in their 21 consecutive wins on the Twickenham turf against the best of the rest of the world. Now, just before they fly to compete in Australia they will take part in the first ever dinner held on the Twickenham pitch in their honour.
The table is set for the Zurich England Rugby Send Off Dinner on 17th September. England supporters can join the likes of Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jonny Wilkinson for a unique occasion, dining on the Twickenham grass.
The entire England squad selected to compete Down Under are expected to be there, surrounded by well wishers enjoying a special four course dinner prepared by some of the country's finest chefs.
The collective culinary expertise of the likes of Richard Shepherd of Langans, Raymond Blanc of Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons and John Williams of Claridges will prepare the Zurich England Rugby Send Off Dinner.
The dinner on the pitch will also feature an auction in aid of Sport Relief and BBC Grandstand presenter Steve Rider will host the Zurich England Rugby Awards for the 2002/03 Season.
Jonno and pack will be joined by Lenny Henry and Hugh Laurie performing with their band "Poor White Trash and the Little Big Horns." and special guests including Lemar and "Celebrity Fame Academy's Kwame Kwei-Armah.
Private tables are available for parties of 10 or 12. Price per person £300 + VAT
Smaller bookings of up to two individuals plus a 10% discount are available for members of the England Rugby Supporters Club.
