Rejuvenated Leeds hooker Mark Regan insists the Tykes are not going to get carried away as look to maintain their unbeaten start to this season's Zurich Premiership.
Regan joined Leeds in the summer when he found himself surplus to requirements at Bath, but has since played a pivotal role in the Tykes' opening three victories.
Victory over Sale will on Friday night will take Phil Davies' side back above Gloucester to top the Premiership.
The Tykes are walking on air, taking full advantage of the relegation reprieve they were handed last season, and for Regan the move could hardly be going any better.
The 30-year-old's time at the Rec was up after relations with team director Michael Foley soured and his place in the England set-up was subsequently under threat.
A capped Lion on the 1997 tour to South Africa, Regan's target is a spot in the England World Cup squad and his chances of that were slim if he stayed put.
"Things broke down with Michael Foley," he said. "I didn't really want to leave the west country but my family are happy up here. The club environment is great and I am delighted how things have settled."
Clive Woodward has since included him in the England elite squad, along with Leeds and England A team-mates Dan Scarbrough and Tom Palmer, and the trio have been crucial to the Tykes' outstanding early-season form.
"We are obviously pleased with the start we have made, but we have got to keep our feet on the ground," he said.
"The guys are working really hard and the attitude of everyone is so impressive.
"I have responsibility for scrums and lineouts and I have found the guys very responsive.
"Phil Davies' leadership skills and management skills are outstanding and it takes a lot of pressure off Jon Callard. He is really enjoying rugby again."
Leeds beat champions Leicester on the opening day of the season - the Sharks did so last week - and the two meet in what promises to be an intriguing clash under the Headingley floodlights.
Davies has been forced to delay the naming of his line-up, largely due to injury concerns over Mike Shelley and Gavin Kerr, while flanker Dan Hyde is suspended.
However, in-form Scotland fly-half Gordon Ross, who was called into Ian McGeechan's training squad along with Kerr this week, is fit to play.
The Sharks this season are attempting to live up to their successes of last year, and went a long way to proving they can with victory over the Tigers.
Coach Jim Mallinder is likely to retain the same XV for the trip along the M62, though Bryan Redpath remains a doubt after he was withdrawn in the first half last Friday.
