Wendell Sailor's rugby conversion seems complete with Wallaby selectors poised to name him in the squad to meet the New Zealand Maori in Perth on June 15.
Sailor and six of his Queensland team-mates were left out of the Reds squad to meet the Maori at Ballymore on Tuesday night.
Sailor, Chris Latham, Reds skipper Daniel Herbert, Elton Flatley, Toutai Kefu, Matt Cockbain and Nathan Sharpe were all bypassed for Tuesday's game. The Reds squad was named after selectors were told the Australian squad.
Sailor is expected to be joined by fellow league convert Mat Rogers after both had strong games in Australia A's 102-8 rout of Canada at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday. Sailor scored two tries, while Rogers was named Man of the Match with three tries and an outstanding all-round performance at inside-centre and five-eighth.
Lock Sharpe also looks set to make his international debut for the Wallabies, while Daniel Herbert will be relieved with outside-centre one of the most contentious in the squad.
Winger Ben Tune and inside-centre Steve Kefu weren't considered for either squad due to injury.
Queensland: Nick Stiles, Tom Murphy, Fletcher Dyson, Mike Mitchell, Rudi Vedelago, Mark Connors, David Croft, John Roe, Ben Wakely, Andrew Scotney, Damian Smith, Jason Ramsamy, Ross West, Reece Goode, Richard Graham. Reserves: Glenn Panoho, Sean Hardman, Andrew Farley, Tom McVerry, Sam Batty, Paul Warwick, Jeremy Austin.
