Springbok coach Nick Mallett said he would stick to his new free-running game plan against Six Nations champions England in the two-Test series that begins in Pretoria next Saturday.
South Africa scored eight tries to two in subduing a determined Canadian side 51-18 in East London on Saturday, casting off the conservative approach that characterised their rugby at the World Cup.
The Springboks struggled to beat Spain (47-3) and Uruguay (39-3) in their pool matches in October.
A new high-tempo game-plan saw forwards and backs combine against Canada to score some impressive tries.
South Africa now face a rematch with England whom they defeated thanks to a world-record five drop goals from flyhalf Jannie de Beer in the World Cup quarter-finals.
"England are going to be a much tougher proposition," said Mallett. "But we really are determined to score tries and to do that we have to create opportunities.
"I have said all along that if we are going to pick wingers like Breyton Paulse who can score tries we have to get the ball to him. The approach might lead to mistakes and it means you can get sloppy and risk becoming predictable if you move the ball wide every time.
"We'll find out more about ourselves in these two games against England."
New skipper Andre Vos scored on his home-town ground and was doubly pleased with the type of game his side produced.
"We played really good rugby all along. The guys ran good angles off the shoulder and we scored some good tries. I like to get the outside backs into play."
After Saturday's Test at Minolta Loftus the Second Test against England is in Bloemfontein on June 24.
