QINGDAO, China -- Spain's Fernando Echavarri and Anton Paz have won the Olympic sailing gold medal in the fast Tornado catamaran class.
Australians Darren Bundock and Glenn Ashby took the silver in the wind and rain Thursday. Argentina's Santiago Lange and Carlos Espinola won the bronze.
The Spaniards were three points ahead of the Australians after 10 races before the medal race that counts double. They captured the gold with a fourth-place finish in the final. The Australians rallied to come in fifth.
