Lisa Keightley has been appointed Cricket Australia's national development lead, a role focusing on building the next generation in the women's game.
Keightley, who played nine Tests, 82 ODIs and one T20I, has previously been both Australia and England head coach.
She is currently head coach of Sydney Thunder in the WBBL, where she signed a two-year extension in June, Mumbai Indians (MI) in the WPL and MI London in the Hundred. She will continue to coach Thunder alongside her new CA position, but it's understood she will likely relinquish the MI job in the WPL. Her Hundred role is still to be determined.
Keightley joined MI last year after Charlotte Edwards was named England head coach. The franchise finished fourth last season with three wins from eight matches to miss the playoffs for the first time.
"I'm really excited to take on this role and contribute to the future of Australian cricket," Keightley said. "I've been fortunate to work with players and coaches at all levels of the game, and one thing I've learned is how important strong pathways and guidance are in helping talent grow and thrive.
"My focus will be on supporting players, coaches and staff across the country, helping create positive environments and making sure people have the opportunities and support they need to be their best."
