Ali found that nip-backer that proved so effective in the first innings, Root was only half forward by the time the ball seared into his front pad... he's reviewing, but that is as plumb as plumb can be! Lawrence stepped into his drive but was too eager in his advances, and as the ball jags half a bat's width, it kisses the inside edge and clatters into the top of the leg stump! 51.1 five for Abbas, and the delight is off the charts! And it's a typically skilful piece of work that earns his place on the honours board! Perfect line and length once more, but whereas the ball to Lawrence darted back in, this one nibbled half a bat's width away, at 79mph, and snicked the edge for Rizwan to gobble the chance with a very sharp take! 187/9

54.2 direct-hit run-out! Well, blow me down. Of all the ways this innings would end, Pakistan fielding brilliance wasn't high on the list. But Babar picks up sharply as Archer aims an angry slap into the covers, Tongue responded a touch sluggishly, in fact he barely responded at all, and wasn't in the frame as the stumps at the far end were pinged down! 208/10

30.1 back of a length and veering into strike the pad but the lbw appeal has been shot down. England review. Masood shuffles a long across off and is struck in line with off and middle. No inside edge involved. Ball-tracking indicates that it would have crashed into leg stump. The review is successful and England break Pakistan's flourishing stand 111/4

4.3 sharp nip-backer from Robinson and it thuds into the back pad! The finger goes up. Awais has a chat with Masood and calls for a review, but this is pretty close. Wide on the crease, on a length and curves back in to beat the inside edge. Flat line on UltraEdge as ball passes bat. It would have crashed into leg stump. Umpire's call on impact, which means Awais has to depart and Pakistan retain the review. Gone for 6 7/1

4.6 Robinson knocks over Shafique! Pings the top of off. Robinson lands it on a perfect length. On a good length, angling in, then seaming away late to beat the outside edge. Shafique prods at it, plays for the inward angle, and then sees the ball crash into the top of off. Another Robinson special and England are just eight wickets away or rather seven if Imam isn't fit to bat 7/2

7.1 brute of a bouncer from Archer! Babar has been bounced out. Throat-high lifter on the stumps and rears up at the batter. Archer's high pace and steep bounce discomfits Babar who takes his eyes off the ball. He tries to pull this 91mph snorter but ends up flapping or fending at the ball. The ball pops up in the air after hitting the edge and then the helmet. Ouch. Cox settles underneath it at third slip. Another familiar Pakistan collapse? 14/3

46.1 holes out to deep square leg! Oh no! That's such a shame! Shakeel took the brave option, when perhaps he should have played the percentages and trusted his team-mates to hang around. It's a fierce, flat launch across the leg-stump short ball, Brook at square leg barely has to move. He receives a huge ovation, but he's clearly crestfallen as he traipses through the Long Room 169/7

32.5 on a length and nips back in, Rizwan has a slog at it, eying up the leg side, but misses it. But he might have been struck outside the line. So, Rizwan goes for a review of the on-field out decision. Flat line on Ultra Edge as ball passes the bat and gloves. Impact in line with off and the tracker returns umpire's call on height. Another failure for Rizwan. He has to depart for 1 after missing the leg-side hoick. Robinson on the brink of another five-wicket haul 115/5

Usman was unable to stay in line, so there was a big gap between bat and pad, as the ball kissed the inside-edge and smashed the top of the stumps, via the thigh pad! 48.3 slower ball again, pegs back middle stump! Those one-day tekkers coming in handy against two batters swinging for the hills. Khurram can't connect on another mow across the length, and this is almost done now 176/8
