Liverpool to continue unbeaten run in EPL

EPL Round 12 - Liverpool vs. Manchester City (Monday 3:30am AEDT)

Football fans are set for a treat in the early hours of Monday morning with the EPL title fight between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Although it is Round 12, this fixture is going to have a significant bearing on which side goes on to win the title.

Liverpool enter this clash with 10 wins and a draw from their 11 matches this campaign. Their record at Anfield in the EPL is also imposing as they are unbeaten in 45 matches at the venue stretching back to April 2017.

Manchester City hasn't been bad either but by their lofty standards are behind where they probably should be. Beaten twice already this season, they come into this fixture six points off Liverpool and with Leicester City hot on their heels just two points further back.

Pep Guardiola's side aren't in the best shape coming into this either with injuries to David Silva and possibly Ederson adding to what is already a mounting casualty ward.

They drew in midweek UEFA Champions League action and have consistently struggled at Anfield where they have just one victory in their last 28 visits.

All things considered City are the only team to beat Liverpool in the league since the start of last year's campaign but that was at home. The Reds are a different beast at Anfield and because of that I am saying Liverpool win this.

Tip: Liverpool to account for Manchester City at $2.60

NFL Week 10 - Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions (Monday 5am AEDT)

Playoff hopes could be all over for the losing team when the Chicago Bears host the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field on Monday morning.

After reaching last season's playoffs, the Bears have struggled mightily. They currently have a 3-5 win-loss record, which has been punctuated by four straight losses.

The Bears' offence was anaemic in the first half last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, yet they were still a chance to pinch an unlikely victory thanks to their defence. However, the Bears succumbed 22-14 in Philadelphia.

Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was solid last season, but his inconsistency has mirrored his team. Trubisky has only thrown five touchdown passes in six full games (he was injured early in another game) with three of them against the pitiful Washington Redskins.

Following an unbeaten start to this season (opening week tie against the Arizona Cardinals followed by consecutive victories), the Lions have dropped four of their last five games.

Last week away to the Oakland Raiders, the Lions were unable to convert a late fourth-and-goal attempt, resulting in a 31-24 defeat. Even though their defence is leaking plenty of points, quarterback Matthew Stafford is having a strong season.

Stafford has thrown 19 touchdown passes and only five interceptions. 10 of Stafford's 19 touchdown passes have come in the Lions' last three games.

The Bears' offence isn't going well enough to trouble the Lions' defence, and with Stafford clearly playing better than Trubisky, Detroit can account for their NFC North division rival.

Tip: The Detroit Lions to defeat the Chicago Bears at $2.10
