Fans evicted after another offensive banner erected at AFL match

Another offensive banner has been erected at an AFL match, with four people evicted from Saturday's western derby at Domain Stadium.

The unauthorised religious banner was displayed for a very short time during the half-time break before venue staff and security removed it.

It's unclear what the banner said.

"We will be working with police and the AFL to ban these people from returning to Domain Stadium," WAFC acting chief executive Gavin Taylor said.

"This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated."

An AFL statement released on Saturday night said: "The AFL advises that a group of four people was evicted from Domain Stadium in Perth this evening and issued with banning notices.

"The group was immediately evicted by security staff once it attempted to display an offensive banner.

"The views do not represent our game in our any way and the AFL would ask media and the public not to give the group the publicity they are craving."

The incident comes just over a week after an anti-Muslin banner was unfurled during Collingwood's win over Richmond at the MCG.

That banner read 'Go Pies! Stop the Mosques', and was widely condemned.
