MADRID -- Granada have signed the player that Barcelona let go hours after originally signing him when the Catalan club discovered he had posted "offensive tweets" on his Twitter account.
Granada say they have signed 24-year-old Sergi Guardiola for their reserve team.

In December, Barcelona rescinded Guardiola's contract eight hours after signing him to their reserve team when they discovered that "he had posted offensive tweets against Barcelona and Catalonia."
Barcelona are heavily identified with Spain's northeastern region of Catalonia.
