Jack Grealish was not named in Everton's squad for Monday's Premier League win over Newcastle United due to a fitness issue.
The 31-year-old was left out of the team for Thursday's Carabao Cup fourth-round meeting against the Magpies due to a breach of club discipline and Everton went on to win the game 3-1.
Both sides met again at St James' Park in the Premier League and Grealish was not included, with a starting lineup post on the Everton club website stating that he is "not match fit."
Everton went on to beat Newcastle for the second time in four days as Thierno Barry scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 win.
Grealish was also absent for the Toffees' 2-0 loss to Arsenal on Oct. 24, but that was put down to illness.
Providing an update on Grealish after the match, manager David Moyes said he is "not available yet."
Asked if there is a way back longer term, Moyes replied: "Of course there is, yeah."
The former Aston Villa midfielder is on a second consecutive season-long loan from Manchester City and has made six appearances for Everton this season.
During the last campaign, Grealish provided six assists and scored two goals in 20 appearances before suffering a season-ending foot injury in January.
He was not part of the England side that made a run to the semifinals of the World Cup before losing to Argentina.
