Manor has confirmed Rio Haryanto will remain at the team in a reserve driver role after being replaced by Esteban Ocon.
On Wednesday Manor confirmed Haryanto's contract had been terminated due to a lack of funding, leading to Mercedes junior Ocon getting the nod ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix. Part of that announcement said Haryanto had been offered a reserve driver role.
The team has now confirmed Haryanto has taken that position, meaning he will stand in for either Ocon or Pascal Wehrlein if needed.
Thursday's announcement said: "Rio will be available to deputise should either race driver be unable to take part in an event. He will also be immersed in engineering meetings and PR activities, as the team continues its support for his racing ambitions."
