POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- — Dakota Leffew scored 34 points as Mount St. Mary's beat Marist 76-58 on Friday night.
Leffew also contributed eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals for the Mountaineers (8-13, 4-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Dallas Hobbs scored nine points while going 3 of 7 (2 for 3 from 3-point range), and added five rebounds. Deshayne Montgomery finished 3 of 4 from the field to finish with nine points, while adding three steals.
Trace Salton led the Red Foxes (10-9, 5-5) in scoring, finishing with 11 points. Marist also got 10 points from Isaiah Brickner. In addition, Kam Farris had 10 points.
Both teams next play Sunday. Mount St. Mary's visits Siena and Marist plays Saint Peter's at home.
