FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- — Joey Reilly scored 19 points to help Sacred Heart defeat Saint Francis (Pa.) 79-67 on Thursday in a Northeast Conference opener for both teams.
Reilly shot 7 for 10 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 3 from the free throw line for the Pioneers (7-9). Nico Galette shot 7 for 15 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 3 of 6 from the free throw line to add 18 points. Alex Sobel was 7 of 11 shooting and 3 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with 17 points, while adding five rebounds and four blocks.
Cam Gregory and Aaron Talbert each scored 14 points for the Red Flash (5-9). Eli Wilborn had 12 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.
