HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Jordan Burns and Will Rayman each picked up double-doubles, six players reached double-figure scoring and Colgate defeated Columbia 89-71 on Sunday.
Burns scored 21 points with 10 assists while Rayman added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Raiders (9-4).
Keegan Records scored 13 points for Colgate, which earned its fifth consecutive home victory. Nelly Cummings added 12 points while Tucker Richardson and Rapolas Ivanauskas scored 11 each.
Mike Smith had 23 points for the Lions (3-9), whose losing streak stretched to four games. Ike Nweke added 18 points and nine rebounds. Jack Forrest had 12 points.
Colgate opens Patriot League play at American at home next Thursday. Columbia matches up against Marist at home on Saturday.
