Commentary

Odegaard spots the run and threads a slide-rule pass through for Tzolis. Coyle knows he's been beaten and takes no chances, placing an arm across the Greek international's shoulder to bring him down. It's a clear foul, and the referee has little hesitation in producing the game's first yellow card.
For all of Arsenal's quality from attacking set-pieces, they can look surprisingly vulnerable when defending them. Raya, usually so assured in commanding his area, comes off his line to punch clear but is crowded out by a sea of bodies. The ball then ricochets off the World Cup winner's gloves like a hot potato before the hosts eventually hack it away.
McBurnie does superbly to hold the ball up in the middle of the park before Cho is released down the right. The Hull forward drives with purpose and wins another corner for the visitors, who continue to carry a threat whenever they break beyond Arsenal's midfield.
NOT FAR AWAY! When Arsenal need someone to take responsibility, Rice so often steps forward. The ball breaks kindly for the midfielder some 20 yards from goal and, with space to set himself, he unleashes a powerful strike towards the bottom-left corner. Tzolakis is at full stretch and appears beaten, but the effort just refuses to fade back inside the post, drifting narrowly wide.
In all competitions, Hull have won just one of their 13 away matches against Arsenal (D4 L8) – a 2-1 victory on their first visit to the Emirates Stadium in September 2008 thanks to goals from Geovanni and Daniel Cousin. The Tigers are doing everything they can to ensure they avoid defeat here, frustrating the champions with a disciplined display that has left the home crowd subdued and Arsenal still searching for their spark in the final third.
The referee makes his way over to the touchline to caution a member of the Hull coaching staff, with frustrations continuing to boil over following that breakaway challenge which the visitors felt should've resulted in at least a free-kick.
