Barcelona v Real Madrid
Barcelona beat Real Madrid to lift LaLiga trophy again
Barcelona clinched the LaLiga title with a 2-0 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid at the Nou Camp on Sunday night.
Both goals came in the opening 18 minutes as Marcus Rashford's curling free kick in the ninth minute was quickly followed by a second from Ferran Torres.
Jude Bellingham put the ball in the net for Madrid in the second half, but it was ruled out for offside and the visitors were second best throughout the night.
Barça could have had more but Thibaut Courtois produced fine saves to deny Rashford and Torres.
The win lifted Barça 14 points clear at the top of the table with just three games to play and they could yet finish the season with 100 points.
Their victory came just hours after the club announced that the father of Hansi Flick had died. Flick took charge of the side as usual and the game was preceded by a minute's silence, while players from both teams wore black armbands.
Madrid started positively and Vinícius Júnior tried his luck early on but Joan García saved comfortably and Barça soon took control.
Rashford stepped up to give them the lead after Torres was felled on the right, just outside the area, by Antonio Rüdiger. The England forward whipped a shot over the wall and into the far top corner.
That sparked raucous celebrations and the home fans were cheering even louder as Barça doubled the lead soon after.
Dani Olmo did brilliantly to flick the ball behind him as he latched onto a cross and Torres followed up to slam into the net.
Gonzalo García spurned a chance to pull one back for Madrid and Aurélien Tchouaméni also missed the target, but Barça remained in command.
Rashford went close to claiming his second after being played in by Torres, but Courtois produced a superb save. Olmo also threatened but sliced wide.
Madrid also had to scramble clear early in the second half after Courtois cut out a Rashford cross and the visitors' frustrations began to show when several players got drawn into a melee over a minor incident.
A player from either side -- Olmo and Raúl Asencio -- were booked for their involvement and a further stoppage was necessary after Bellingham was accidentally caught by the elbow of Eric García.
The game became scrappy but Torres brought another good save out of Courtois as Barça neared the title.
Bellingham put the ball in the net but it was ruled out for offside and Trent Alexander-Arnold was booked in a further scuffle.
It became clear Madrid could not delay Barça's celebrations and the home side calmly played out the closing minutes.
