Angers v PSG
PSG beat Angers 3-0 despite Ramos red card to go six points clear at top of Ligue 1
Gonçalo Ramos was sent off as Paris St Germain went six points clear at the top of Ligue 1 after a 3-0 win at Angers.
The visitors were in complete control at Stade Raymond Kopa courtesy of goals from Lee Kang-in, Senny Mayulu and Beraldo when frontman Ramos was dismissed for a second bookable offence with 16 minutes remaining.
However, his premature departure could not prevent his side from taking full advantage of second-placed Lens' 3-3 draw at Brest on Friday evening to leave themselves in the driving seat with four games remaining.
They will now turn their attention to Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final, first leg clash with Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes on the back of a run of eight wins in nine games in all competitions.
Achraf Hakimi tested keeper Hervé Koffi with a close-range attempt within seven minutes of kick-off, but that simply delayed the seemingly inevitable.
The game was only seconds older when Lee fired the visitors ahead from similar distance to establish an early bridgehead.
Having had an early taste, Hakimi chanced his arm once again from Mayulu's ball, but this time could not find the target and Fabián Ruiz, who scored the only goal in the reverse fixture in August, was no more successful.
Hakimi did test Koffi for a second time with 28 minutes gone and Bradley Barcola started to make an impact.
However, Luis Enrique's men had to wait until six minutes before half-time to extend their lead when Mayulu fired home the second goal from Beraldo's through-ball.
Lee and Beraldo both went close as the second half got under way, but the pair combined to good effect to make it 3-0 seven minutes after the break, the Brazil international rising to head his South Korea counterpart's cross home from close range.
Prosper Peter might have reduced the deficit on the hour, but Ramos went close to a fourth for the visitors and then forced Koffi into another save as the leaders turned the screw.
The Angers keeper denied Nuno Mendes with 18 minutes remaining, but Ramos' night took a turn for the worse soon afterwards.
The striker, who had been cautioned for an early foul on Abdoulaye Bamba, was given a second yellow card after catching Koffi and sent off.
Matvey Safonov saved from Goduine Koyalipou as the home side sensed an opportunity, but ultimately there was nothing they could do to prevent an 18th successive league defeat by PSG.
