Ryan McCord struck in the closing stages to earn Alloa a 1-0 win at Morton and a place in the semi-finals of the Petrofac Training Cup.Chances were few and far between in a tight first period but Morton keeper Nicolas Caraux did well to save a close-range effort from Greg Spence while Thomas O'Ware had a fair chance at the other end.Stefan McCluskey and substitute Reece Hands wasted several good openings between them to put League One outfit Morton in front during the second half.But, just as it looked as though extra-time would be needed, McCord headed in a Mark Docherty cross to give Championship side Alloa a third straight away victory in this competition.
