Commentary

Fatawu is booked for bringing down Ahanor in a promising area. However, Palace's free-kick amounts to nothing.
Palace are still yet to register an effort since that shot from Larsen in the 17th minute. Ipswich have been by far the better team since the beginning of this encounter. However, there is still plenty of time left in this one.
Ipswich cannot afford to miss more of these chances - once again Enciso is at the heart of another move for the visitors, as he frees himself from a couple of Palace challenges before finding Lukic. The midfielder is quick to tee up Clarke inside the area, but his low effort is saved by Benitez, who dives to his right.
Ipswich threaten on the counter-attack as Enciso finds space down the left. He isolates a couple of Palace defenders before picking out Fatawu. However, the winger looks to check back onto his favoured left foot and can't get the shot off. A big opportunity missed, as the window was there to take the shot first time.
Palace have not made a particulary strong start to the second half, sitting behind the ball in a compact shape and allowing Ipswich to dictate the tempo. Emersonn evades a couple of Palace defenders with a fine piece of skill and surges into the penalty area. He lets fly, but he can't find the target with a wild effort. The Brazilian has been impressive yet again, and he's made a very strong start to the campaign in general.
A burst from Enciso creates an opening for Ipswich on the right, and Richards is forced to step in and concede the corner, though nothing comes of it. Ipswich have begun the second half strongly, knowing that another goal would make things incredibly difficult for their opponents in terms of finding a way back into the match.
