Bayern v Heidenheim
Michael Olise inspires late Bayern equaliser against Heidenheim
Michael Olise instigated a last-gasp equaliser to deny Bundesliga-basement Heidenheim a famous win in a 3-3 draw at Bayern Munich.
Budu Zivzivadze opened the scoring for the visitors in the 22nd minute and Eren Dinkci doubled their advantage before Leon Goretzka halved the deficit with one minute remaining in the first half.
A quadruple substitution added some much-needed life to Vincent Kompany's side after the break, when Goretzka drew the sides level, but Zivzivadze restored the visitors' lead with a brilliant 76th-minute strike.
Heidenheim were seconds away from walking away with all three points when second-half substitute Olise struck from distance off a post and caught the back of the unfortunate Diant Ramaj on the rebound.
Kompany made wholesale changes from Tuesday's exhilarating 5-4 Champions League semi-final first-leg loss to Paris Saint-Germain, with seven new faces in the lineup and both Harry Kane and Olise among those initially rested.
Heidenheim opened the scoring after Bayern could only clear a corner as far as Marnon-Thomas Busch, who looped the ball back into the area where Zivzivadze prodded it past Jonas Urbig and in off a post.
Dinkci doubled their lead nine minutes later, Busch again the provider with a pass that allowed his team-mate to run in behind and round Urbig, who had come forward, before tapping it into the empty net.
Goretzka cut the deficit in half with one minute remaining before half-time with a brilliant free-kick over the wall, curling it into the top left corner and sparking life into the hosts, who then had a half-chance through Jamal Musiala.
Kompany made a quadruple change to begin the second half, introducing Kane, Olise, Luis Díaz and Joshua Kimmich.
They made their impact felt almost instantly, and it was all square after Goretzka tracked Olise's corner and stuck out his shin to direct it past Ramaj, who should have done more to prevent the goal.
Bayern had seized control, and Kimmich came close to firing them into the lead when he blasted an effort from distance off the right post.
Urbig made a world-class save at his near post eight minutes after the hour, denying Dinkci with his chest from point-blank range, but there was nothing he could do to deny Zivzivadze.
It started with Ramaj's throw, worked to the Georgian, who broke down the left before cutting inside, tracked by Olise, but managing to evade the France international.
Zivzivadze pivoted, then curled a magnificent effort into the top right.
Just as it looked as though the visitors would walk away with three critical points in their relegation battle, Olise drew the sides back level with the final kick of the contest.
He whipped the ball through a crowd, catching the upright then the unlucky, diving Ramaj, who desperately scrambled back, but it was too late to keep out his own goal.
