Aston Villa v Fenerbahce

A ruthless Aston Villa record their biggest-ever margin of victory in any European competition, as they smash Fenerbahce 6-0 in the Champions League! Leaving their Premier League woes behind, the hosts scored three times in each half at Villa Park, with Jackson and Barkley both finding the net twice. Another standout star of an exemplary display, Manzambi set the wheels in motion with his early opener, before Jackson finished clinically in the 31st and 39th minutes. Though Suzuki was forced to make saves from Muriqi and Aydin, Fener rarely convinced in attack, and their defence simply crumbled as the second half wore on. First, Barkley scored from the spot after Manzambi was tripped, before he added another with a deflected drive. As stoppage time approached, substitute Abraham capped off a brilliant night for the home side in Birmingham, and they have maximum points from two league-phase games - it's also 11 consecutive home wins in Europe. While Fenerbahce actually accrued an xG of 1.9 in an open match, Villa racked up 3.07, and they'll be full of confidence for upcoming games against Newcastle United and Norwegian champions Viking. Meanwhile, Fener must quickly regain their composure, as they'll host Slavia Prague in six days time - that already looks like a must-win clash. That's all from our live coverage, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!

Combining with his fellow sub Abraham, young winger Alysson does well to dig out a low cross from the right side of the box.

GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! ASTON VILLA HIT SIX! The hosts are on course for their biggest-ever European win! Alysson evades Brown on the right byline, then tees up Abraham, who smartly clips the ball home from close range. Villa lead 6-0, and Fenerbahce are simply desperate to hear the final whistle!

Under pressure from Brown near the byline, Joao Gomes shepherds the ball safely behind for a goal-kick. Lukaku had been heavily involved throughout a promising build-up, but nothing has gone right for Fener in the final third.

SAVE! Suzuki tips another Aydin effort over the top! The latter receives possession on the left side of Villa's area, then unleashes a fierce strike towards the target, only to be denied by Suzuki again!
