The full-time whistle goes then, and what a performance from Leeds United who run out 4-1 winners over Newcastle United at Elland Road. It started in fortuitious circumstances, as Tanaka's strike took a couple of deflections and wrong-footed Hornicek, with Lewis Miley credited with the own goal. Calvert-Lewin thought he had scored Leeds' second, but it was later given to Bogle, after his team-mate's header clipped him on the way in. Calvert-Lewin essentially wrapped it up before the break, though, sitting Botman down before coolly slotting past Hornicek. Okafor drilled in an expertly executed fourth as Newcastle failed to deal properly with a long throw-in, to leave Elland Road rocking. The only frustration for Leeds - who had a superior xG of 1.91 to 0.85 - was Toure's late consolation. Leeds' convincing win sees them up to third, and they remain unbeaten in the league through four games. For Newcastle, it's a first defeat under Jaissle, and he will have much to ponder after a game in which his side were completely bullied, and struggled to cope with the physicality of Leeds.
