The Philadelphia 76ers used one of their plethora of 2015 second picks to select forward Richaun Holmes. During summer league action, Holmes suffered a broken elbow and since that time he has been rehabbing from the injury. Holmes is expected to be cleared for all basketball-related activities by the start of training camp. From John Finger of CSN Philly:
- "According to a league source, Holmes will begin shooting and working out next week and be fully ready for camp. The team has yet to make an announcement regarding his status. ... He figures to see some action with the Sixers this season after agreeing to a four-year deal with the team this week. According to the source, the deal is guaranteed for the first two seasons with a salary more than the league minimum for a second-round pick. ... For the Sixers he could relieve Nerlens Noel at power forward on defense while providing them with a threat from the perimeter on offense."
